Statutory Law Enforcement Powers of the Commission

The Commission has statutory law enforcement powers to enable it to effectively investigate
allegations of corrupt conduct. These include powers to:
Require a public body or a public official to produce a statement of information
 Enter and inspect public premises
 Require any person to produce a document or thing
 Hold a hearing in public or in private
 Summon a person to attend a hearing and compel the person to produce documents or
answer questions
 Apply for and execute a search warrant
 Apply for and execute an interception warrant, and
 Exercise powers of arrest.
